2024 has been a year full of significant changes and advances in artificial intelligence. This has been a period of continuous learning, discovery, and new personal projects.
I am already ending the year with an eye on the crucial changes in 2025.
What awaits us in 2025 - Trends
This 2025 is sure to be an exciting one. We will undoubtedly see the acceleration of AI, with applications that promise to transform industries and everyday life; the impact on traditional institutions and businesses, where the automation of systems is optimizing processes; and the generation of content by AI, which is revolutionizing entertainment and blurring the boundaries between the virtual and the real. At the same time, we will face critical challenges such as content veracity and copyright, among many others.
During 2024, I saw how some important companies in Spain started their first pilots of generative AI agents. It has been a year of exploration, but clearly, this points to much more ambitious deployments in 2025 when the data from these pilots confirm improvements in efficiency and savings. And most importantly, the ability to scale business with technology and not people... we may start to see “different” companies based on a few people and many automated systems.
The main trends for 2025 include, among others:
- Multimodal Artificial Intelligence: It will allow more intuitive and accurate interactions with these models. I am sure that many of the queries will be answered by voice. This will also affect online searches driven by AI. Will we see a decline in Google in this area? On the other hand, the ability to show content to AI in real-time (computer vision) so that it can give us related information and/or answers.
- Advanced intelligence models: With reasoning (inference) capabilities superior to human ones. Will we reach the long-awaited AGI by 2025? In this point, we could improve the efficiency of the AI itself in different fields, including the energy field. Another essential issue to consider will be the quasi-infinite increase of the memory of these models. This will allow them unlimited context about us thanks to their interactions.
- Era of AI Agents (Agentic AI): It will allow to automate a huge amount of tasks currently performed by humans using advanced automation capabilities that will allow, among many other things, to qualify leads, generate calls with voice quality and human reasoning, attend support centers and all this, autonomously 24×7. We will see how these agents, or even networks of agents, will begin to impact employment. It will warn of the tsunami that awaits us in the coming years, but 2025 will already be perceived. - Acceleration of scientific advances. The boost it gives scientific research will unlock new capabilities in natural sciences, sustainable materials, the discovery of new drugs or treatments, and perhaps new energy sources.
- AI in Cybersecurity: AI will mitigate increasingly sophisticated cyber-attacks through artificial intelligence.
- Popularization of Edge AI or computing on your device without the need to access information in the cloud to interact with you. Some new mobile devices already include chips with capabilities to do this and with LLM models, also known as “small models.”
- False reality. Due to the capabilities of generative AI to generate content identical to reality, it will be increasingly difficult to differentiate reality from fiction. This is fertile ground for all kinds of scams with deep fakes. Can you imagine what a hacker could do with the data of all of us allegedly obtained from the Tax Agency, for example?

The first video in which I appeared personally was also a milestone for me. The truth is that getting in front of a camera is not easy. - This Blog: with 85 Posts published in English and Spanish. It has served me as a space to share reflections, analysis and resources on artificial intelligence, technology and marketing. For me, it is a real hub where I concentrate the study and the necessary resources to deepen in key topics.
- My YouTube channel, which has produced 40 videos this year, has allowed me to deliver the content of my blog visually and directly. During this journey, I have also learned a lot from other creators and inspiring channels such as DotCSV, Mathew Berman, Xavier Mitjana, The AI GR, Marc Vidal and Gustavo Entrala, among others, whose approaches have brought valuable perspectives to the content I develop.
- My channel on Ivoox allows you to download the contents of my videos and listen to them when it is more convenient for you, making it easier for you to access the information at any time and place. At the moment, the contents are only in Spanish.
