As a teacher with more than 14 years of experience in various Business Schools and Universities, I have witnessed the constant evolution of the educational environment. Introducing artificial intelligence (AI) into this landscape has been one of the most significant innovations and, in my opinion, one of the most controversial and promising.
My position in this regard is clear. Teaching our students about AI’s advantages and good use is crucial to accelerate their learning.

AI as a Pedagogical Tool: Expanding Horizons
AI is not just an emerging technology but an extension of our ability to teach and learn. I would say even more, it is an extraordinary accelerator of knowledge and productivity.
AI tools such as intelligent tutoring systems, chatbots, and adaptive educational platforms can revolutionize how we approach educational content. These tools allow a personalization of learning that was unimaginable just a decade ago, adapting the pace and depth of content to the individual needs of each student.

The Importance of AI Education: Preparing Tomorrow's Leaders
As educators, it is our responsibility to prepare students and professionals not only for future jobs but also to actively and consciously participate in the technologically advanced society in which we live. This involves teaching them not only how to use AI effectively but also how to understand its ethical and social implications. My classes emphasize the importance of using AI as a learning accelerator, a means to develop critical skills, and a tool to foster innovation and creativity…
Advantages of its use
Some of the main advantages of using AI in education are:
- Personalization of Learning: Allows for adapting the educational content to the individual needs of each student, thus improving their learning experience.
- Improving Student Achievement: They allow us to evaluate student progress, provide specific feedback, and identify areas for improvement, contributing to better academic performance.
- Efficiency and Productivity: Automate administrative tasks, allowing educators to focus more on teaching and interacting with students.
Disadvantages of its use
Some of the main disadvantages of using AI in education are:
- Possible Replacement of the Educator’s Role: There is concern that AI may dehumanize the educational experience by reducing human interaction in the teaching-learning process.
- Technology Dependency: Excessive use of AI in education can lead to over-dependence on technology, limiting the development of social and emotional skills in students.
- Ethics: The implementation of AI raises ethical challenges related to the need to establish clear policies to ensure a responsible use of this technology

Let's not put gates in the field, but let's be aware of the risk
Let us teach our students how to use these technologies and encourage a critical spirit so that they can check the veracity of the data and sources that these systems offer us. . If we also use group work dynamics, we can improve social skills by having them collaborate on projects, solve problems, and communicate effectively with their peers, thus fostering collaborative skills.
Let us also be critical and demanding and make our students understand the importance of effort in learning. As teachers, let us also have enough training to detect inappropriate use of technology in the work we are given and even increase the difficulty of the work to encourage greater and faster learning.
