I have been following Brian Solis for many years. In fact, I recognize that his work“X: The Experience When Business Meets Design<\/span>” has been an inspiration for me to write my first book, Selling More in Seven Steps<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n

As early as 2015, Brian very aptly anticipated that “<\/em><\/span>Great products are no longer enough to succeed in business. Creative marketing and charming customer service are not enough to succeed either. The success and future of business is based on experience <\/b>and now is the time to learn how to create and cultivate meaningful experiences.<\/span>“<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Brian hits the nail on the head when he says that the digital age is not just about technology, but about how technology changes the way we interact with companies. The real magic happens when companies grasp this shift and intentionally design every customer touch point. Instead of simply offering a product or service, Solis challenges us to offer an experience.<\/p>\n

The key to understanding this book is to understand that today’s customers are in control. They are more informed, more connected and more critical than ever. A decent product and mediocre customer service is not enough for them. They want, they demand, exceptional and memorable experiences in every interaction.<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, Brian urges companies to invest in experience design, a holistic approach that takes into account the entire customer journey. This is not limited to the user interface in an application or website. It covers everything from the first point of contact to after-sales support. Every interaction is an opportunity to delight the customer, and none can be ignored.<\/span><\/p>\n

Moreover, Solis argues that change must start from within. Companies must foster a culture of innovation and adaptability, and be willing to challenge the status quo. This takes courage, but the companies that can do it will be the ones that thrive in the digital age.<\/span><\/p>\n

The book is packed with examples and case studies that illustrate how companies can put these concepts into practice. These are not just theory, but applicable lessons that any company can take and use.<\/span><\/p>\n
